There are new games afoot at an elementary school in Bonavista, NL – painted asphalt games that is. With a little help from Benjamin Moore exterior paint and some great ideas from a creative group of teachers, school children at Matthew Elementary have even more to love about recess and their playground.
School teacher Mark Gray says his wife, Melanie Gray, was the leader of this asphalt playground project. He says, she and a couple of other teachers spent countless weekend hours completing the project for the children.
The new playground features classic games like Hopscotch and Snakes & Ladders, as well as other active games like Twister and the Crab Crawl.
