Using Non-Traditional Holiday Colours in Your Home

This holiday season, step away from the traditional reds and greens and try something new. Maybe something blue, with metallic touches.

Blue – the colour of icicles, clear winter days, and lips uttering “I swear I’m not cold, mom” – may not be a traditional holiday colour, but that shouldn’t stop you from incorporating it into your seasonal décor.

A dark blue, like Benjamin Moore’s Gentleman Gray, makes a good base for layering gold toned metallics. The pairing oozes elegance, but can also be playful, especially if your metallics come in the form of prancing reindeer.

Creamy tones, like an off white faux-fur blanket, perhaps, will finish off the look and give you a cozy retreat for sipping hot cocoa by the tree.
