Colour Inspired Cocktails Your Guests Will Love

It’s no surprise that we love colour, so we let a few of our favourite holiday hues inspire a festive twist on some classic cocktails. Whether you’re having a quiet New Year’s Eve at home, or playing host to all your friends and family, we’ve got four fantastic drinks that will help keep your party merry all night long!

Try a mimosa with spiced apple cider at brunch…

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1 bottle sparkling wine (optional; substitute with ginger ale)
  • 1 apple, sliced (for garnish)
  • ground cinnamon (for garnish)

How-to:

  1. Wet the rim of each glass with cider and place in ground cinnamon to coat.
  2. Add apple cider to each glass, top with sparkling wine, and garnish with apple slice.

…or indulge in the perfect blend of cranberry and mint for an after-dinner refresher.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/3 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 4 teaspoons of agave
  • 3/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 cup white rum (optional; substitute equal parts cranberry juice and club soda)
  • 2 cups club soda

How-to:

  1. Add cranberries, mint and agave to the bottom of a large pitcher and muddle.
  2. Add lime juice, cranberry juice and white rum. Pour over ice if desired.
  3. Before serving, top with club soda and garnish with lime, mint leaves and cranberries.

Warm up to winter with this seasonal sangria…

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup agave
  • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 pear, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 2 cinnamon sticks (+4 for garnish)
  • 1 bottle Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1 bottle ginger ale

How-to:

  1. Add all ingredients (except for wine and ginger ale) to a large pitcher and stir.
  2. Add the entire bottle of red wine. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours or more.
  3. Before serving, add ginger ale and garnish with cinnamon stick and orange slices.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of coffee
  • 1 1/2 oz amaretto liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 oz Crème de Cacao
  • fresh whipped cream
  • grated chocolate (for garnish)

How-to:

  1. Combine coffee and liqueurs in a glass. Stir to combine.
  2. Top with fresh whipped cream. Garnish with grated chocolate. Serve hot or iced.
